A Day at Sea

We enjoyed out first day at sea just relaxing day on board. The weather was perfect for sitting outside and we had the good fortune of calm seas.

For dinner we booked the French Chef’s Table dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and the company.

While there are no big shows on the ship, the musical entertainment on the ship is enjoyable and pretty diverse. We enjoyed a group of entertainers out on the pool deck who played jazz during an outdoor buffet. The horn player played the trumpet and the flugelhorn. After the performance we told the horn player we enjoyed the flugelhorn and that his playing brought back some great memories. We told him there was a well known flugelhorn player from our home town. He immediately said “Chuck Mangione” and that Chuck was the person who inspired him to learn the flugelhorn. He also said that he felt “Feels So Good”, one of Chuck Mangione’s albums was one of the best albums of all time. We hope to get to hear the group play again on this cruise.
